I will be playing a short set at the Westerleigh Folk Festival! A great line up in a totally beautiful park. I have two new Irish style compositions and will probably grab a uke player or two to help me sing about monkeys.

The 2nd Annual Westerleigh Folk Festival is a free ,all day music and art event that takes place in beautiful Westerleigh Park, Staten Island. The festival will be held on Saturday , Sept 26th from 11:30 am till 7:00pm. Among some of the musical acts appearing are Karlus Trapp, Queen Tipsy, Joan Caddell & The Midnight Choir,Jim Indell , Mia Theodaratus,Morty Jacobi with Stan Jay, Norm Pederson ,Bob Conroy & Friends ,Two of Us and The Staten Island Pipes & Drums.
Children’s activities such as face painting and horseshoe toss will be provided. Refreshments will be available. Park seating is limited so bring a chair or blanket.
Westerleigh Park is located at the corners of Neal Dow, Maine, Willard and Springfield Aves. near Jewett Ave. Street parking is available. The park is handicap accessible.

glad to see that you put up a webpage about the Westerleigh Folk Festival. I would like you to make an addition if you can. Add the year, “2010”. Most all the web references to this festival via Google seem to be for previous years (which are “postponed”, etc) and if this site does not mention the year, it could add to the confusion. THANKS!
